Tamar Valley News

For several years, Graphic Words produced editions of the biannual Tamar Valley News. This single-colour A4 newsletter ranged in length from 4 to 12 pages.

We assisted with copy writing and editing, and editing photographic materials. We created graphic elements such as maps and table as required, and were responsible for the lay-out and appearance of each issue. The newsletter included rail and ferry timetables and events listings. These were often included in the central pages of the newsletter to form a "pull-out supplement".

10,000 copies of each edition were printed and distributed throughout the area - some through a house-to-house delivery service, others through outlets such as Tourist Information Centres, libraries, shops, pubs and hotels. The newsletter enabled the Tamar Valley AONB Service to communicate with residents and visitors, explaining its work and the projects currently being undertaken. It forms a popular source of local news and local transport information.
