Tavistock Canal Bicentenary Exhibition
Working from materials supplied by our clients, we designed a series of information panels examining various aspects of the canal. To reflect the historic role of the canal in waterborne freight transport, and to permit maximum flexibility in future use of the display, these were produced on a heavy duty "scrim" banner, with reinforced eyelets at the corners. The exhibition was staged in a historic building, where the banners were suspended from wooden roof trusses - and anchored to natural logs at floor level, using hessian rope. After the exhibition closed, the banners remained available for use as a "touring exhibition" - either using all 16 banners, or selecting specific panels for displays in smaller areas. The banners can be hung independently, but were also designed to a size which allows mounting on conventional display board systems, using velcro fixings. Currently, they are on display at Morwellham Quay in Devon. |
